[1.6.2009] Service-Finder at the 1st EU 'Matchmaking' Event

Service-Finder will attend the first EU 'Matchmaking' Event, where many EU projects will present themselves to the EU project community and meet with representatives of other EU projects.
As a result, the organizers expect to initiate first contacts between projects which stand to benefit from sharing expertise, technology exchange, and generate cross-project co-operations and joint activities at the task and technical level.

Service-Finder is a sponsor of the IEEE Semantic Web Services in Practice (SWSIP 2009) Workshop, which will be co-located with the 2009 IEEE Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference (IEEE APSCC 2009). It will take place on December 7-11 at Biopolis, Singapore.

The workshop will focus on the 'In Practice' aspect of Semantic Web Services, and bring together researchers and practitioners working on all related disciplines, to share their experiences, exchange new ideas as well as to identify key emerging topics and define future directions.

[29.04.2009] Invited talk at the Enterprise X.0/Econom Workshop at BIS 2009

[03.03.2009] Seminar entitled "Semantic technologies between present and future"

We organized a seminar entitled "Le tecnologie semantiche tra presente e futuro" (in English, "Semantic technologies between present and future"). It will be presented at CEFRIEL, on 3rd March 2009.

The objective of the seminar is to provide an overview of the semantic technologies and to examine the application scenarios through real use-cases, including Service-Finder.

[28.01.2009] First Review of the Project

The first review of the Service-Finder project will be held on January 28, 2009, in Milano (Italy), at CEFRIEL. You can find some useful instruction here.

During the review, all WP leaders will present to the European Commission the work done so far and the plan for the future. A demonstration of each component will be presented, as well as a demonstration about the live portal available at http://demo.service-finder.eu.

[26-27.01.2009] Rehearsal before the 1st Review

The partners will meet again in Milano (Italy) at CEFRIEL, on 26th and 27th of January 2009. The main objective of the meeting is to prepare all partners for the review. All slides prepared for the review will be presented by the WP leaders in order to check them and highlight possible improvements.Then, discussions will follow.

You can find some useful instruction about how to get to both Milan and CEFRIEL here. During those days, there will be some works on the CEFRIEL's building and some stairs will be closed. Room is tagged as "Aula S2" and it's situated in the underground of the building. Below, there are the detailed instructions to reach the room for Monday and Tuesday.

When you'll get in front of CEFRIEL building (via Fucini, 2), you'll have to ring the bell saying you're there for the Service-Finder meeting. They'll open the gate doors.
Be aware in passing the gate, since it permits to pass one person at a time.
In the courtyard, please, find the lift (it's not so easy) but DO NOT take the lift.
When you have the lift in front you (and you're still in the courtyard), go left and go up for few steps.
DO NOT go through the glass window in front of you, but turn left and go through the metal door.
Go down the stairs for one floor.
You'll find another metal door on the left. That door should be already opened. Otherwise, call Dario.
When you'll enter, turn right and go in the corridor for about 15 meters.
You'll find "Aula S1" on the left, that's the wrong room... please proceed along the corridor. You'll find "Aula S2" on the left, that's the correct one.

Service-Finder is a gold sponsor of the upcoming FIS 2008.! Its program will be international in scope, and focused on research, especially that which crosses the traditional boundaries of our field.
